Yachtmaster Offshore
Aim: This is a practical assessment by a RYA Yachtmaster Examiner for the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence. A basic knowledge of spinnaker handling is expected.
Eligibility: Minimum sea time & sailing yacht experience - 50 days seatime, 5 days as skipper, 2500 miles, 5 passages over 60Nm including 2 as skipper and 2 overnight. VHF, and first aid certificates are also required. Applications will not normally be accepted from students who do not hold a YM shorebased course completion certificate.
