ROYAL NAVY & ROYAL MARINES WATER POLO

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Water Polo team is run under the auspices of the Royal Navy Amateur Swimming Association (RNASA) and is set up to administer the sport at all levels from “Grass Roots” to Inter Service and Combined Service level. The activities of the Team are wide ranging; from competing in World Masters competitions to local Tournaments around the UK and Channel Islands.  The main focus of the team is competing “to win” at the Inter Service competition and many of the fixtures and events are programmed to achieve this.

The team competes in a number of Tournaments in the West Country including the annual Culdrose Tournament which is going from strength to strength in terms of popularity and standard as the years progress.  With a squad of over 30 players, of all standards, the team looks to recruit competent swimmers and develop them through training and competition throughout the year.  The squad is open to both male and female players, however, due to insufficient numbers the Ladies team does not compete in competition.
