Glen Young No 1 Trainer

WO1 Glen Young has been involved in Royal Navy Field Gun for many years as a competitor and more recently has a trainer. Key moments include helping create the first ever Crews from Gibraltar to enter the competition in 1995 and being Crew Captain for the newly formed BRNC team which finished second in 2002.

He has been very proud to have been Crew Captain for Gibraltar, BRNC and HMS Collingwood during Field Gun 100 but by his own admission he will always be associated with HMNB Portsmouth having won the Competition as a competitor and trainer. Keen to pass on the ethos of Field Gun to a new generation WO1 Glen Young is the co-ordinator for the Junior Leaders Field Gun Competition designed to breed new Field Gunners and trainers but more importantly spreading the name of our fantastic Sport!
